Howdy.

Its been a long time since i have made a new character, but i have finally realized that Anet will never let us account transfer characters, so i want to make an Ele.

Now since all my characters were Prophecies, they were ascended before Factions and Nightfall arrived. I wish my ele to be Prophecies, however, does it have to be ascended to reach the other continents or can it go as soon as it reaches lions arch?

This will influence the race of the character enormously.

Your character does not have to be ascended to travel to the other continents. They simply have to take the quest "Mhenlo's request" to travel to Cantha and "Sunspears in Kryta" to travel to Elona. I hope this helps. ^_^

You can go as soon as you reach Lion's Arch. However, you will not be able to change secondaries or go to UW/FoW until you have. (You may be able to do the equivilant in Cantha - IDK, but you can't in Nightfall)
